Hi, I am hosting on softsyshosting, and the support there is great. the problem is that it is not good for my project. What I have is a project that use unlimited mySQL database size and on softsyshosting there is a limit to 10GB and it can be upgrade with extra payments. I am not sure what is the size I will use, but it will sure be more then 10GB. now, what I was trying to do is to host with softsyshosting and link the database to my local machine but this is not allowed....

 So now, I am stuck, I am looking for a reasonable price that suite for my conditions.

searching the forum I have come to this server: http://spherewebhosting.com/hosting/cpanel
but I am not so sure it has everything I need.
Can you please advice on this? thanks.

This is great amount of overselling. Remember, there is nothing like 'Unlimited' space as you get limited amount of hard drives. And such oversellers will have very slow servers and they will suspend your site anytime (Read the TOS carefully). I would recommend you to find some other non-overselling host from performance perspective or work out with softsyshosting regarding your disk space needs.

Yes, you are right, sorry for the referrer. For unlimited mySQL you should get a VPS or Dedicated Hosting, and then the limit will be near to your disk space.

I am trying to publish a demo so I need  a cheap solution.

so I have come with a solution of my own, to host web pages on the host side and  mySQL database on my localmachine.

this way I will get low performance, but for a demo I guess it will be enough.
for some reason softstys doesn't allow it, and I couldn't connect from ASP.NET pages hosting on softsys, to my localmachine. contact to the support that confirmed it is not allowed.
maybe on easycgy host it allowed, I sent a query about that.

I know it allowed on spherewebhosting and ASPNIX, but I see here a very bad recomendetions, so I am backing off for now.

do you have another suggestions I might missed?

try IXwebhosting.com or HostMonster.com. they are top three.

I would recomment IXWebHosting.com, they have database size and other features unlimited.

But IXwebhosting is the best
