    Yup it makes it "statefull" and I read those quotation marks sarcastically.  One of the great things about the MVC framework is that it doesn't try and hide the true nature of the web it embraces it.

    Well, the web may be nice and stateless, but complex web _applications_ tend to be stateful, like it or not.

     Sorry, I didn't mean to make this thread into a religious war. MVC to me is primarly a separation of concerns, and I use it as such.

    Anyway, thanks for all the replies, we should return to the normally scheduled program now.
