I installed the latest version of the toolkit and I can run the sample applications (after removing the TemplateVSI project which seems to have issues noted in the comments on the How Do I get started video 2). I can run that fine.

But it won't work in my application. I made a reference to the .DLL I also added the toolbar tab and items using that same dll. But when I drag a control on the form or when I try to type, auto sense does not see it the way it does in the sample project. And when I drag it in the Tag Prefix is "cc1", not ajaxToolkit which is what is in the sample application. I get an unrecognized tag prefix error.

What am I doing wrong here? I would really like to include this functionality in my application!

    Thanks,

    Ross

OK, I found it (with some excellent help from Joe Stagner).

The client's network guys set up everyone's My Documents on shared network drives. VS2008 loves using My Documents so my projects are all on the shared drive. I created a new project on my local c: drive, and voila, it worked!

FYI I also have run into issues of too many network connections when I have more than one VS2008 project open at the same time. It would seem that VS2008 and network drives do not play together very well. I'm moving all my projects to the C: drive.

    Thanks,

    Ross
