I wanted to know if we can create a database and store our tables in visual studio 2008.

I am working on creating an application where a compnay emplyoee  can login and mark his attendence in the website.I was wondering if we can create tables in visual studio 2008 and use them for my application.

Yes, you can do this easily in VS 2008. Actually VS is an IDE that comes with alot of wonderful tools like the server explorer where you can manage your sql express database. A good place for the start is the QuickStarts
