Does anybody know how to Edit and save the Microsoft Office documents from the Asp.Net application(HTTP) ?
Requirements
1. We have one Website, where lots of Office documents are filed.(
Http://SampleSite/Ravi/Documents”)
2. Customer will click on the required documents,
3. When he click’s on the Document it should open in the client Microsoft Office
4. After changing the Document it should save in the Original Website
( like in Http://SampleSite/Ravi/Documents/123.doc”)
The same concept has been implemented in the Sharepoint Portal server.
If you use Google documents, you can open edit and save them in the webbrowser without needing MS-Office.
It's not really possible with Microsoft Office or Office Live.

Hi,
I think you should do "download and upload" work or use com+ to do this.
Actually, it is not about AJAX, you should post it to the SharePoint forum or com+ forums.
but may be this is helpful for you: AJAX, file downloads, and IFRAMEs
Best Regards,
