    Whats your question then?

Just run a sql script on the database to update the rows to adstatus 100 and ExpirationDate to something in the future

I don't understand the problem, what you want is built in.

Just log in as Admin, go to Site Administation, manage Listings and features, in the search dialog change the status to inactive.

You now see all the inactive ads. check the boxes next to the ones you want to change, and use the drop down to reactivate the listings.

If that's not it explain more.

Here is the deal darkK...there is a command that runs on the hr. to check ad against expiration date. So even if you reactivate the ad it will still deactivate within the hr.if the expiration day is outdated. How do I stop that. I have a lot of ads that are expired. I want to reactivate the ad.

I did not search but I think admin is the only one that uses the storedprocedure UpdateAdStatus, so I would check that it's the only place it's used, and add expiration to the stored procedure and the code behind. In the code behind you could do a simple declaration expiration = DateTime.Today.AddDays(30)

If you wanted these ads to show up at the top of the list you could also add a parameter to update datecreated.

    And then your set.

to reactivate an ad you need 2 things..

1.Extend the expired date to something in the future

    2.Set ad status to 100

You can do that in bulk by runing a sql query.

Update classified_ads set adstatus=100 AND ExpiredDate='01/01/2009' where (....you can remove this if you want to activate everything...)
