i am using VWD 2005 express edition to create a web application .i have .net FM 2.0 installed

please tell me can i use silverlight technology in my application.

if i can,wt steps i have to follow

You need to download the Silverlight SDK here.  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=FB7900DB-4380-4B0F-BB95-0BAEC714EE17&displaylang=en

You will also need to make sure you client browser can view silverlight objects.  You can donwload the plugin your client here http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/resources/InstallationFiles.aspx

Hi  Bilal,

 For working   on  Silverlight ,  you need  to  have  a  knowledge  of  XML   'coz   Silverlight consists  of  .xaml (Extensible Application Markup Language)   files   written  in  xml .

thnx for the reply. i am creating a web application name "complaint management system"of telephone company as my study project. i want to use silverlight technology in my application. according to my limited knowledge i think silverlight tech is used to give good look to ur application.like good graphic or visual effects. plz tell me if i use silverlight technology in my application wt advantage i will get.also wt actually is silverlight and last but not least is it easy to use this technology!!! i have visual c# and visual web developer Express edition installed on my machine.

 i downloaded "Silverlightv1.0SDK.msi" and installed it but when i try to accessed it from

Start>>Programs>>Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 SDK>>Silverlight 1.0 Visual Studio 2005 template

i got the following error "Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 SDK Visual Studio 2005 Template requires Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 to be installed. See the Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 SDK Visual Studio 2005 Template Release Notes for more information."

can u please tell should i install Visual studio 2005  or i can still correct this with C# and VWD express edition.
