The point here is that they are certainly are not reliable and this is not service you expect of your host, so it serves as a warning to anyone out there who is looking round at a potential new host.

I guess that you pay your money and take your choice - reliable are about the cheapest I have found...but the service seems to be akin to the hobbyist not a commercial company.

This is the first major downtime we've had in over 6 months, and I personally think we've gone above and beyond trying to give our customers the attention required to bring everything back up ASAP. The downtime only effected a percentage of our customers and no DotNetPanel or Server 2008 accounts were effected in anyway.

Ahhhhh.... What about previous 6 months? And you have been NO WAY above and beyond in trying to give your customers the attention. You were lying and there was a downtime of over 100 hours for certain customers and the SSL sites were down for 1 week. And this is NOT 1 downtime. We experienced 3 downtimes in last month. And this is totall UNRELIABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Learn to admit your mistakes and DO NOT DELETE POSTS from your forums. This is happening regularly.

Most customers that contacted us were replied to and in most cases resolved within 24 hours (including SSL). The outstanding few customers (about 10 - 15) we either had specific issues with the site or there were very explicit configurations which needed to be redone because we're very flexible with allowing customers to do what most other hosting firms won't allow.

Downtime is considered server downtime, not site downtime, most firms consider downtime as "network" downtime. All customers who have contacted us about SLA credits have been given free months without any argument or question as we do stay true to our word and guarantee so please stop calling me a liar. You also forget that the servers that were down were about 10% of our customers, we still have a large number of other servers who were not in anyway effected. This happens to every hosting company, datacenter, etc once in a while. We've been putting in a lot of effort, money, and time into making sure it doesn't happen in the future. For example, previous downtimes usually made the mail server unusable -- this was set on it's own platform and has been stable ever since. All RSNET1 and RSNET4 customers have been moved to brand new servers with better security, hardware, etc which has been doing very well.

In addition to everything I mentioned, we've also doubled our server fleet and have 100% of our servers with warm backups available so that if a failure does occur, we can move everything over faster without having to spend the time to prepare a fresh server as this saves about 5 - 6 hours of downtime. I believe this is above and beyond a budget hosting company's commitment to their customers.
