I just got a new site. I used the classifieds kit. Just got the discountasp.net basic package.

 I uploaded the files and it says

"An error occurred. Please contact the site administrator." Which is a result of some error in the classifieds kit.

 
Im stuck. Suggestions?

 This is my first asp.net experience.

Read carefully how to install classifieds kit to see if you did something wrong, else I agree that it's much better to contact your hosting support.

I think it is most probably a issue with how you have configured the classifieds kit I don't think your hosting provider will be willing to help you much on this.

All of the http://discountasp.net accounts receive free help in their forums.
You have free will to configure your Starter kit as needed and you can post for help at anytime.

Did you configure your database as per the Classifieds Starter Kit instructions?  Look at the Classified Starter Kit forum for solutions.
