    Hello,

I couldn't access http://localhost when my IIS was running. But after I uninstalled ipv6 protocol, I could access http://localhost.

At the beginning, I thought the problem was caused by ipv6 protocol. However, I tested it in another computer. I found surprisingly that I could access the localhost even if that computer had installed ipv6.

Why couldn't I access localhost in my first computer?

    Thanks.

    Answer

Perhaps localhost is not set to 127.0.0.1, or perhaps your IIS is set to answer on an IP other than that one.

    Answer

Look in your HOSTS file.  It should be set there.  If not, add it.  The HOSTS.SAM file has the info.
