If you are looking for a good web hosting experience for multiple sites, I've had a terrific time with Mosso. They have a really well designed system for setting up lots of sites either on Windows or Linux (you can even switch on the fly) and while you post your code to one location (FTP), they scale it out to many servers. They also manage my billing and support, so I only have to think about building sites, not hackers/spam/billing/etc that you get when you manage your own server.
