I've been searching the forum and internet, but haven't found an answer to this question - probably b/c it's a dumb question, but anyway, I need an answer.  Please, help.  How do I uninstall the template that is included with the installation of css adapters available for download at http://www.asp.net/CSSAdapters/Default.aspx?  I don't see it in Add/Remove Programs.  I am running VS2008 (trial version distributed at developer evangelism event) on XP Pro, and after installing this version of the adapters, Visual Studio locks up and won't respond whenever I try to start a new website or project.  I tried system restore as well as a repair installation of Visual Studio.  Neither fixes the problem.

If, by some rare and amazing chance, I suggested a solution that actually worked for you, please mark the post as "ANSWER" because, hey, I don't pull that off very often. ;-)

    Could you re-install Visual Studio?

I could do that.  I was just hoping for something simpler.  Is there any trick to a clean uninstall of Visual Studio 2008 before reinstalling?

Well, I found an easier answer and this fixed my problem.  The templates for the CSS Friendly Control Adapters that I installed were located in these folders:

    ..\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Web Developer\VisualBasic
    ..\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Web Developer\CSharp

They are zip files.  Once I deleted them and restarted Visual Studio, I was able to start new projects and websites again without a problem.

For more info on locating template files, see this (helped me out):
