My Visual Studio 2005 closes when I do the following:

    1) Create a new ASP.NET Web Application.
    2) Drag a few components to the page.
    3) Search for 2 spaces (Ctrl-F space space enter)

I get an "Out of Memory" message and then VS closes.

Does that happen to anybody else?

That has never happened with me. May be you VS is not properly installed. Just try reinstalling the VS.

I would agree, I use Find both Quick and regular without any issues.

I didn't say "Find doesn't work", I said "Find doesn't work when searching for two spaces in an aspx file". How often does somenone do that?

Forgot to mention: design view, not HTML.

I have an anti-virus, it's a corporate notebook. It's also a corporate installation, nothing will change.

I asked "Does that happen to anybody else?". I'm not looking for a solution, I just want to know if it is a bug.

PLEASE someone make the test and put the results here.

PLEASE don't give any more suggestions.

I haven't encountered the error yet, however it sounds more like a system problem.

    Answer

Find/Replace is not supported in Design view, sorry. the command is available in Beta 2 by accident, it is disabled in RTM. Find/Replace is Source view only operation in VS 2008.

    Thanks
