    Hey Guys,

I am using Visual Web Developer Express and I am having problems uploading my website.  I just started a free account with Freewebspace.  On Visual Web Developer Express, I created a webpage, then I clicked the Website menu and clicked Copy Web Site...  then, i connected the FTP server using the Username and password and URL they gave me.  When I tried to upload the files though, there was an error. I looked in the log and it said:

    "Copy from 'D:\Documents and Settings\Sparky's Master\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\WebSites\WebSite5' to 'ftp://nainaparampil.freewebspace.com/' started at 6/19/2007 9:38:36 PM.

Copy file Default.aspx from source to remote Web site.
Has error -- Unable to add 'Default.aspx' to the Web.  553-Can't open that file: Read-only file system
553 Rename/move failure: No such file or directory

    Copy from 'D:\Documents and Settings\Sparky's Master\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\WebSites\WebSite5' to 'ftp://nainaparampil.freewebspace.com/' is finished. Completed at 6/19/2007 9:38:37 PM.

looks like you created your website using File Sytem , usually we create website using HTTP , which means your website is running on IIS (http://localhost/mywebsite.aspx)

I am not sure that could be a reason for error.

also ,are you getting to uplaod only Default.aspx page ?

I think you should try using third party FTP Applications to upload....

You could search for the following: Cute-FTP or WS_FTP
