I migrated to the AJAX 1.0 Release version from Atlas Beta July version today.  Overall, migration went pretty well.  A lot of items to modify.  I do seem to notice the speed performance (updatepanel postback - page refresh) is considerably slower than the beta version.  I did not modify any code - only code per migration steps.  Is there anything I should be double checking to optimize AJAX further?
