Sure seems that way.  It would have made much more sense to wait until the patch had been pushed out instead of releasing an RTM version with a major bug!

Oh well...thanks to Matt Gibbs for the workaround...at least I didn't have to rollback to the RC version!

I'm not sure if the problem revolves around the validators but I'll share my experience. I downloaded the validator zip file, copied the files into my web project as an interim solution, re-added the tag mappings to point to the temporary validators, compiled, tested and things worked great.

I had a problem due to multiple views within an update panel. The first view's validators worked fine prior to the interim fix, but all other view validators failed. Now everything works correctly as it did with the RC.

Now I'll just keep an eye out for the patch.

I have implemented the workaround and it works fine as long as is it not embedded inside formview templates. I can't get it to work inside formview edit templates. Does anyone know perhaps why???
