I am using the hovermenu to create a line of main menus across the top of my webpage. So far I have a single menu with two items on it. One of the items must be suppressed when the user does not have admin privs. In the following code it is the linkbutton
usersMenuItem. In the page load I can set this control visible=false and it will disappear, but the space it occupies is still on the screen (i.e. a large blank spot between the menu title and the still available item). I also tried programmatically removing
the control from the panel. Again the first menu item disappeared, but the space did not shrink up.
I don't know if this is the expected behaviour or not, certainly doesn't provide me with what I expected. Is there a way to suppress an item and have the missing item's space filled up by the following item?
