Would anyone help on the following error:
I manually deleted the copy in the \...\travelajax\... but the copy re-surface each time I F5, so that's the wrong copy to delete? The 1st copy won't allow me to delete, so I guess removing either one of the duplicates is not an option. I am using
Visual Studio 2005. Any suggestion is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your time...I deleted the Microsoft.Web.Atlas.DLL in the Temporary ASP.NET Files. The compiler error then shows it is looking for the Microsoft.Web.Atlas.DLL in the Temporary ASP.NET Files. The Microsoft.Web.Extensions.dll in the c:\windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL...\
won't let me uninstall. I uninstalled all the AJAX stuff and re-installed from scratch and the situation remains unchanged. I thought I'll compare the registry from a PC with AJAX working to my registry and see if there's any difference, not sure what other
options I have at this point :) Let me know if you think of other options. Thanks again.

I don't think it is a good way to compare the registry from a PC with AJAX working to your registry and see if there's any difference. If you delete the
Microsoft.Web.Atlas.DLL in the Temporary ASP.NET Files, the Ajax web applicalication should not find
Microsoft.Web.Atlas.DLL in the Temporary ASP.NET Files at runtime.Do you refer to
Atlas control toolkit in your Ajax web application? If yes,you need to download the latest Ajax control toolkit to replace it and change the prefix from
atlas to asp of the Ajax controls in your web application.Otherwise the web application will load
Microsoft.Web.Atlas.DLL when compiled.Try to uninstall all the Atlas components from your PC and reboot your PC.Then try to remove Ajax componets from your PC and reinstall it again.I think this should help you solve your problem.Good luck

Just to let anyone out there if you come accross this issue follow the below steps:
1) Check the web.config file (remove Ms.Web. ... DLL) assembly reference
2) find the temporary ASP.net file location and delete both the DLL and INI file.
this should resolve the issue.. it did for me.
