    This thread is over 6 months old!  May I ask why you decided to resurrect it?!

    Just had the issue myself and was looking to deal with it.  Didn't check out the date.  My bad.

    Why not? Obviously the issue is still occurring even with up and coming Visual Studio 2008. I'm not sure why someone would want to open another thread on the exact same topic when there is already discussion around it in this thread, which is still unresolved.

    I had an update to SP1 a couple days later and the problem was fixed.  Run Windows update.

    Best regards...

    Do you have the KB Article # for the update? I've run every Windows Update that's been offered, and although Visual Studio 2005 did eventually stop showing this behavior. Visual Studio 2008 is showing it again. Perhaps if I had the KB # for the update I could reference that with Microsoft and burn one of the MSDN support incidents to get a patch created for 2008.

    I got this for the very first time today, and I'm using the Visual Studio 2008 Team System trial.

    This was the first time I combined two solutions to a much bigger one. Upon trying a second time it worked.

    I'm using Windows XP Professional SP2

    That is where I experienced the problem until I cleaned the solution. Have you tried right clicking on the solution file in Solution Explorer and selecting "Clean Solution..."? This fixed my issue and I noticed it was after converting a large solution to 2008 from 2005.

    If you can't see your solution you can go to Tool -> Options... -> Projects & Solutions -> General and check the "Always show solution" option in order to display it in Solution Explorer.

    To avoid this Error, Please have a look in web.config file in your solution and remove such a lines.

    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-Sleep" value="60000" />

    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-Age" value="120000" />

    Regards,

    Kannan

    Well, I am very sorry to find this thread ending as it does.  I just got this error for the first (and second) time today.  I'm using .Net 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008 version 9.0.20122.8 RTM on WinSrv2003, SP2.  Are there any more developments to report regarding the error?

    I also received this error once on VS2008, but was running on XP SP2. I right-clicked on the solution file and selected Clean Solution... and it started working after that without issues.
